Hoop Skirts to Enforce Social Distancing

Hoop skirt mandates have been enforced in the New York City subway. Hoop skirts are very wide, and because of this they are perfect for enforcing social distancing. The MTA was frustrated when people wore their masks below their noses, which is what originally triggered the law.

Gretchen from Crown Heights told our reporters, “It’s very ingenious. It’s quite an innovation, and frankly, I love it!” But Tony from Bay Ridge commented, “This thing makes me look fat [he is fat]. I’m gonna punch them MTA guys.”

Hoops skirts used to be a design of the past. Critics said, “Too hoopy. Too skirty.” But now, they’re an innovation of the future!

If you don’t know where to buy a hoop skirt, they are now being sold for a reasonable price at the MTA gift shop in the Transit Museum (just kidding, nothing is a reasonable price in the MTA gift shop).
